DevOps Engineer Resume Bullet Points

16 examples, each shown weak and strong

A strong DevOps bullet gives the size of the platform, the change you made to it, and a delivery or reliability number that moved. Reviewers look for production ownership, so on-call work, SLOs, migrations and cloud cost belong on the page next to the tools.

How to use these

  • Every [X%], [N] and [$X] is a blank for your own figure. Fill it from your records, or a careful estimate you could explain in an interview. If you have no number, describe the result in words.
  • Only use a bullet for work you actually did. Change the details until it describes your job, not this page.
  • The ticks are three plain checks done in code: it opens with an action verb, it has a number, and it says what changed. Strong bullets pass all three; weak ones miss at least one.

    • โœ“ Action verb
    • โœ“ Number

Infrastructure as code

Show what the code covered and whether other engineers could use it, since a reviewed module library reads differently from personal scripts.

    • โœ“ Action verb
    • โœ— Number
    • โœ— Result

    Strong

Codified [N] AWS accounts in Terraform modules reviewed through Atlantis, ending console changes and reducing new environment setup from [N] days to [N] hours.
