RoastMyResume (roastmyresume.io) is owned and operated by BMCM LLC, a limited liability company organized under the laws of the State of Illinois.

1. Nature of Service

RoastMyResume provides AI-generated entertainment content (“Roasts”) and optional AI-generated resume improvement suggestions (“Rewrites”). Roasts are humorous commentary generated by artificial intelligence and do not constitute professional career advice, employment consulting, or factual assessments of your qualifications. Rewrites provide general informational guidance and are not a guarantee of employment outcomes.

2. User Representations

By using this service, you represent and warrant that:

• You are uploading your own resume or have explicit authorization from the resume owner
• You are at least 18 years old
• You will not use this service to harass, defame, or harm any person
• You understand the roast output is entertainment and not professional advice

3. AI-Generated Content

All roasts and rewrites are generated by artificial intelligence (Anthropic's Claude AI). We do not manually review, edit, or endorse the AI's output. The AI may produce content that is inaccurate, exaggerated, or unexpected despite our efforts to guide its output. By using this service, you accept this inherent variability.

4. Payments and Refunds

The Roast is free. Paid tiers are one-time purchases processed by Stripe: Pro Rewrite ($4.99), Rewrite + Cover Letter ($9.99), and Career Bundle ($19.99). Due to the nature of instant digital content delivery, all sales are final once the output has been generated. If the service fails to deliver output, contact us for a resolution.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RoastMyResume shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to: loss of employment opportunities, emotional distress, reputational harm, or loss of profits arising from use of this service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service.

6. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RoastMyResume and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from: (a) your violation of these Terms, (b) uploading a resume belonging to another person without authorization, (c) your sharing or publication of roast output.

7. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of your resume. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your resume solely for the purpose of providing the service. This license terminates upon deletion of your data. The generated roast and rewrite output are licensed to you for personal use.

8. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (“AAA”) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. The arbitration shall take place in Chicago, Illinois. You waive the right to participate in class action lawsuits or class-wide arbitration.

Small claims exception: Notwithstanding the foregoing, either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court if the claim falls within that court's jurisdictional limits.

Costs: Each party shall bear its own costs and expenses of arbitration (including filing fees, arbitrator compensation, and attorney fees) unless the arbitrator determines that a different allocation is appropriate under applicable law or the AAA rules.

9. Changes

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of modified Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict of law principles.

11. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.

12. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and BMCM LLC regarding the use of RoastMyResume, and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, and communications, whether written or oral.
