UX Designer Resume Example
An entry-level UX designer with a psychology degree, one internship and a year of studio work, applying for a first in-house product design role.
A fictional resume written by our team. The person, employers and numbers are invented; the tools, licenses and schools are real.
Why it works
- 1
“Junior UX designer with a year of shipped work on e-commerce and health apps. Runs usability tests, designs to a Figma component library, and tracks what changes after launch. Case studies linked in portfolio.”
Puts the portfolio link where it gets seen and promises post-launch results, which is the gap reviewers look for in junior case studies.
- 2
“Ran 8 usability tests on a retail checkout, moved the hidden shipping cost up front, and completion rose 17%”
Finding, change, result, in that order. It shows the research drove the design instead of decorating it after the fact.
- 3
“Redesigned booking for a 12-clinic physical therapy group, cutting phone bookings 28% in the 3 months after launch”
Reports what happened after handoff. Junior case studies often stop in Figma, so a post-launch number stands out.
- 4
“Ran a tree test with 64 members on the online banking menu. The regrouped nav cut can't-find-it support calls 21%”
Names the method and the sample size. A tree test with 64 members tells a hiring manager exactly which research skills are real.
- 5
“Handled about 70 customer chats a day and logged the top 10 checkout complaints, which became the site redesign brief”
Makes a non-design job count. Logging complaints is informal research, and it explains why this person moved into UX.
How it scored
We ran this example through the same free roast you can use, three times, and kept the middle result. The roast ranks a resume against a typical applicant pile and grades hard: even a resume with a number in nearly every bullet usually lands in the B range.

Use it as a skeleton, then replace every line with your own work. A copied bullet with someone else's numbers is the fastest way to fail an interview question.
