Teacher Resume Example
A mid-level elementary teacher, nine years in Ohio public schools, licensed P-5 with a reading endorsement and starting to mentor new teachers.
A fictional resume written by our team. The person, employers and numbers are invented; the tools, licenses and schools are real.
Why it works
- 1
“Elementary teacher, 9 years in grades 3 and 5, Ohio P-5 license with a K-12 reading endorsement. 74% of my class met MAP Growth reading targets in 2025. Mentor to new teachers.”
Puts the license and endorsement in the first line, where a screener with a checklist looks, then gives one growth number instead of adjectives.
- 2
“74% of students met MAP Growth reading targets in 2025, up from 58% the year before, after adding daily small groups”
Reports growth, not raw proficiency, and names the change that produced it. Growth is the number a principal trusts.
- 3
“Class of 26 to 28 a year, including 6 students on IEPs and 4 ELL students, co-taught with an intervention specialist”
Gives the scope of the room: class size and the supports in it. Without this, the outcome numbers have no context.
- 4
“Built a 6-week project-based fractions unit, now used by all four 5th grade classes, unit test average from 68% to 81%”
Shows work adopted beyond one classroom, with a before and after. Adoption by colleagues is about the strongest signal a teacher has.
- 5
“Moved 68% of 24 students up at least one Fountas and Pinnell reading level band each year”
Names the actual benchmark system, so the reader knows how growth was measured.
How it scored
We ran this example through the same free roast you can use, three times, and kept the middle result. The roast ranks a resume against a typical applicant pile and grades hard: even a resume with a number in nearly every bullet usually lands in the B range.

Use it as a skeleton, then replace every line with your own work. A copied bullet with someone else's numbers is the fastest way to fail an interview question.
